Wilson's personal collection of materials concerning the Indianapolis African American community, individual families, churches, and organizations. Information is included about local poets, musicians, music teachers, artists, teachers and schools, A.M.E. and Baptist churches, Roberts Settlement in Hamilton County, Ind., and the Walker Theatre. Photographs are of individuals, musicians, and churches. Artifacts include a jersey and cap from Will Owens, a National Negro League player, from a ceremony honoring him during an Indianapolis Clowns game. Also included are materials from Wilson's exhibit "The Black Family in Indianapolis: Invisible Sinew."

She worked at the Indiana Central University Library (now University of Indianapolis) until her retirement; the last 11 years she served as library director.
